It's time to introduce a partner again. This time a fellow manufacturer of mowing robots and a very well-known and renowned name in this world. Known to us as Belrobotics or Echo mowing robots for sports fields, but now operating under the name of the parent company: Yamabiko.

The benefits of Yamabiko Europe's Wisenav system for GPS-RTK robotic mowers

If you're looking for an advanced robotic lawnmower for large lawns, look no further Yamabiko Europe. As a subsidiary of the renowned company Yamabiko, known as the authority in the field of automatic robotic lawnmowers in Japan and the United States, Yamabiko Europe offers high-quality horticultural equipment, agricultural equipment and industrial equipment under two own brands: Echorobotics and Belrobotics. Their extensive range of robotic lawnmowers is driving strong growth in Europe, Asia and the rest of the world. In addition, Yamabiko is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, which is a testament to their reliability and success in the industry.

Technological market leader for robotic lawnmowers on large lawns

Yamabiko Europe has proven itself as the leading supplier of robotic lawnmowers for large lawns. They work with Wisenav, an advanced system specifically designed for the GPS-RTK models of the Echorobotics brand. With Wisenav, the robotic lawnmowers can mow wirelessly or using a wire in programmed paths, resulting in 3 times higher efficiency and extremely flexible work zones.

Cut in a straight line for a larger area without wire

The GPS-RTK models, including the Turfmower TM-2050, the TM-1050 and the Rangepicker RP-1250, are capable of working wirelessly with a straight line mowing pattern. In addition, they can mow specific zones specified by the user, which also improves maintenance of the edges of the mowing zone.

Wisenav – a complete system for optimum performance

Wisenav, which stands for Wireless Satellite Exact Navigation, is a full system offered by Echorobotics. It includes:

  1. A robot equipped with advanced GPS-RTK technology.
  2. An RTK base station that transmits precise position corrections.
  3. A handy charging station.
  4. Work zones that can be defined virtually or by wire. Wireless virtual boundary is possible with good GPS-RTK quality, but a wire can be useful if the GPS-RTK quality is not optimal.
  5. A user-friendly portal website and app that allows you to easily control and monitor the robot. Here you can also adjust work schedules and settings.

Simple and cost-effective installation

The installation of a robot on a new terrain is made even easier by these innovations because there is no longer the need for an underground perimeter cable. This is also an advantage for customers who want to test a robot over a short period of time. If there are obstacles on the site, short-term work or evolutions over time, the user can set and adjust “no-go” zones himself with his fingertips. Users still have access to a series of data and settings, but can now also set, copy or delete the GPS zones to mow and to avoid. The safety zone is the only zone that must be set by a technician.

Activities adapted to changes in the terrain

Using RTK (Real Time Kinematic), the Echorobotics mowing robot can work continuously with an accuracy of 3 to 5 centimeters despite being in motion. The Bigmow has a built-in GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receiver that captures geospatial positioning data from different satellite constellations (GPS, Galileo, Glonass, Beidou…). It combines these varying positions with exact corrections sent to it by a fixed nearby RTK base. The RTK Base knows its exact position and it does not vary. Using these corrections, the mobile GNSS receiver calculates the Echo robotics robotic lawnmower a very accurate position.
